Known worlwide to have been the universal port of the Normandy landings of June 1944, Arromanches is, more than  a "remembrance port", also a holiday place, a space of relaxation, of expatriation, discoveries and rest.
The holiday makers appreciate the family joys of the sea bathings and many leisures, nautical, sporting and cultural are proposed to the visitors.
Arromanches is also, of course, a high place of history and memories.
The enormous concrete blocks of the artificial harbour fixed in sand are enough to recall that Arromanches was an actor of the history of the twentieth century.
